As 2021 is running, our communication skills and our tolerance should be leading the race.

Sometimes it looks like we’re talking kind of an irregular english -LOL- and don’t misunderstand me; what I’m trying to say is, that mayyyyybe … our words are being understood in a completely different way ( or similar who knows) to the real message we want to transmit.

Our audience ( a date, a friend, some coworkers) could be understanding something veeeeeeeeeery different.

The speed, the tone, the micro gestures in our face that we use every time…each and everyone of this elements are part of any message. It can been misunderstood from both sides. (+ a facemask, + social distancing -OMG-)

If we’re lucky , we can realized that our instructions or our message has been misunderstood with different time lapse …since few minutes to weeks.

This kind of misunderstood not only happen in our daily life, it happens also in a big scale like the disturbed transition in the US presidency, one of different global upside & downs that has been seeing in the first 2021 week.

Second, new lockdowns around the globe ( Shijiazhuang, Cyprus, Ukraine, Bogota among others); third, off course COVID- 19 statistics updating every second now with a new variable : The vaccine; Fourth, the predictable unpredictable BITCOIN raising levels to the stratosphere (Us$40.883)…

With all of this, It looks, like if we learn a third, forth or fifth language, kind of Chinese or any other can be really helpful in the next few years to improve our communication skills or maybe our survival skills.

Finally, upon all the latest experiences my first 2021 book recommendation it’s gonna be : How to win friends and Influence people, from Dale Carnegie. This was the book to help me to start to connect with people, and honestly, I think that I need to read it again.
